Current regulatory standards require that workers be properly protected from the electrical arc hazard. To do so requires that the electrical arc energy be calculated at the point of exposure.
The downloadable file flux.zip contains the well-known program flux.exe written by Alan Privette. Flux.exe is an MS-DOS program that can be used to calculate the received electrical flux in cal/cm2 at the distance of exposure. Also included is a pdf file in which Mr. Privette explains the operation of the program and the assumptions made.
Mr. Privette is currently working on a Windows version of the program. It will be posted here as soon as it is available.
